What exactly DOES the CDC do? Why don't they have ANY information on whether those with natural immunity spread the virus? I would think this would be an important factor to evaluate since the government is pushing employers to mandate vaccination even in those with natural immunity. If they have zero evidence that the naturally immune spread the infection why are they forcing them to be vaccinated?
I find it unfathomable that the CDC, who has contact tracing data available to them, as well as regular reports from state health departments on the number of positive and negative tests, cannot answer whether or not there have been any cases of those with natural immunity spreading sars-cov-2 to others. I’m not sure how they are “following the science,” if they aren’t even “gathering the data.”
Rochelle Walensky also gave testimony that she has no idea how many employees at the CDC remain unvaccinated. Furthermore,
she didn't know how many employees continue to work from home. If she can't even testify to the percentage of fully vaccinated CDC employees (which I would think would be a top priority for her since she directs the CDC) why would we trust her to run said agency? Why is this even an issue under her leadership? Why are CDC employees, who likely have at least as much data as we do, choosing to work from home to avoid vaccine mandates? Why are employees at the CDC vaccine hesitant? I would love to hear from them on this subject. We can assume that vaccine hesitancy is THE issue because, when asked what percentage of her employees remain unvaccinated, Walensky stated that her agency “continues to encourage employees to get vaccinated and provides education to employees on covid vaccines.”
The unvaccinated among us, including those of us with natural immunity, have been maligned, marginalized, shamed, and many have lost their jobs, but the director of the CDC has no idea what percentage of her own employees are vaccinated. Do CDC employees face a hard deadline to comply with mandates or be terminated like so many of our first responders, doctors, nurses and teachers? Rules for thee but not for me.
